My research interests are centred around posthuman approaches to traditions of ‘independent working class education’, with a particular focus on pro-social pedagogies, rhizomatic structures and the democratising potential of digital, particularly social media. I’m also very interested in distributed forms of leadership and the leadership of ideas.
I have been involved in a number of rich-in-learning action research projects such as those of the FAB family of work around digital resilience.
As a researcher, I am an engaging communicator and bring rigour and insight to the analysis of data. I’m interested in research that brings about some measure of transformational difference, however small.
